The broadband ISP division of John Lewis has launched a new offer that bundles a “free” Lenovo IdeaPad 120S (81A4005PUK) laptop PC in Mineral Grey with their UK internet access and phone packages. The offer will be available to order until 22nd May 2018 or until the computers run out.
As usual customers who order one of their packages will also receive a 12 month contract term, 24/7 UK based customer support, PC security from BullGuard, free UK evening and weekend phone calls, included line rental, unlimited usage and a wireless router. NOTE: The JLB service is supplied by Plusnet.
If you need a new phone line installed at your property there’s a £49.99 one-off installation charge.
Unlimited Broadband and Phone
* Up to 17Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £22.50 a month for 12 months (£26.50 thereafter)
Fibre Broadband and Phone
* Up to 38Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £32.50 a month for 12 months (£38 thereafter)
Fibre Extra Broadband and Phone
* Up to 76Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £36.50 a month for 12 months (£43 thereafter)
The laptop is obviously far from being a high end device and that’s hardly surprising given that its RRP is £179.99 in the shops. Nevertheless it seems like quite good value when bundled with the already discounted broadband packages above.

Notice that the laptop is running a stripped down version of Windows 10. ‘Windows S’ which is good for basic use ..
Yes now the standard. Windows 10 S only allows apps to be loaded from the Windows Store. Click the wrong button and you get the full Windows garbage. Its a restore to go back.
Surprised that its only a 12 month contract. Change your contract annually and grab these ISP freebies.
You can change the settings, which only takes a few seconds to make it Windows 10 Pro so that you can use it normally.
“…only takes a few seconds to make it Windows 10 Pro”
Would that not require buying a PRO licence first?
How long do you have to wait to get the laptop I have signed up to John Lewis broadband and still waiting
Do you have your laptop yet? John Lewis haven’t responded to my query.
