Broadband ISP Zen Internet Launches New UK Website

Wednesday, Jun 13th, 2018 (12:01 am) - Score 2,676

Popular ISP Zen Internet will this morning launch a new website, which they claim will be a “huge improvement over the old one” by becoming simpler to understand and easier to navigate, no matter what device you’re using.

Apparently the new site has been “designed … to reflect where we are as a company in 2018, and where we’ll be going over the next few years.” In a brief statement Zen said, “We’re launching the new site overnight to minimise any disruption. This does mean that the website and our My Account service (including login) will be unavailable from 9pm on Tuesday 12 June until 6am on Wednesday 13 June.”

Their site says Virgin’s top speed is 200Mbps and they sell 18 months contracts, both of these points are wrong. Very misleading.

Technically that could be seen as a misleading advert and would be for the Advertising standards agency to investigate if a complaint was logged …

    2. Avatar photo mike says:

They’ve now removed the speeds and fixed the contract details

Mike, was it correct when it was put on there? As they state * Correct as of 7th March 2018.

    1. Avatar photo mike says:

The website was launched today, they have no excuse to be using data from March. [admin note: comment line removed, please try to avoid potentially libellous remarks].

    2. Avatar photo Nick says:

I’ve been on 350Mbps with Virgin since November 2017. So if this were checked as of March by Zen it would still be incorrect.

    Terrible, just terrible.

Fast -> Whoever put that is really stupid as up to 6Mbps isn’t FAST Broadband! Very misleading Zen!

Lol, very easy to understand, very disappointed in their classing of ‘Superfast Broadband’:

      YOUR RESULTS
Great news! You can get SUPERFAST broadband

      Your estimated broadband speed:
      Typical 1.21Mbps
      Max 3Mbps
      Min 0.81Mbps
      Upload 0.8Mbps

      Ah well……….

Still no facility to order a new line, through the website. Most companies provide this functionality. Disappointing, in this day and age.

Zen’s new website does not recognise my postcode
