Shropshire-based ISP Aquiss has launched a new discount on their unlimited Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC / VDSL2) based superfast broadband packages when taken without phone line rental, which offers the first 6 months of service on a 12 month minimum contract term at half price to new customers.
The discount means that monthly rentals start from £15 a month (instead of £30) for their 35Mbps average tier without line rental and £17 a month (instead of £34) for their 67Mbps average tier. All FTTC connections come with a Static IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses and Free Activation or Migration.
They should advertising with phone line rental including to avoid confused price in total.
As @Curious has already stated, this is a broadband only package where customers have line rental elsewhere.
If a customer would like a combined package (broadband and phone) we also offer these, where the pricing is outlined as a combined.
I’m sure they have that pricing already set out somewhere.
This is for those looking for a broadband only package, with line rental elsewhere.
True, however good luck finding cheaper line rental from a legitimate ISP; Aquiss price is nearly half the amount charged by BT, TT etc.
In other words, the big guys are subsidising their internet prices by adding ~£8 to the line rental charge.
Not forgetting the cynical cash-back offers that make the prices look extremely good, but which only ~20% of people ever manage to complete the small print conditions required to make the claim.
Given the recent Which survey, a better headline would be “UK ISP Aquiss to DOUBLE the Price FTTC Broadband after 6 months”
