ISP Direct Save Telecom Slash UK Broadband and Fibre Prices

Monday, Dec 10th, 2018 (12:01 am) - Score 1,031

Budget UK ISP Direct Save Telecom (DST) will later today revise their standard broadband and superfast “fibre” (FTTC) packages (when bundled with phone line rental), not least by significantly cutting their monthly rental charges for new customers. On top of that their 18 month contracts will switch to 12 months.

As usual all of the new packages will include a free wireless router, phone line rental, UK based support and unlimited usage. DST can also install a new telephone line if required and their current SPECIAL OFFER is only £44.95, albeit in return for a minimum 18 month agreement.

At the time of writing the packages aren’t yet live and so we can only offer an early summary of the expected pricing, which we may need to update again later this morning.

Package Name (Speeds are Average)

Superfast Fibre Broadband 35Mbps
PRICE: £29.95 £22.95 for 12 months (£29.95 thereafter)

Superfast Fibre Broadband 63Mbps
PRICE: £34.95 £29.95 for 12 months (£34.95 thereafter)

Superfast No Contract Fibre Broadband 35Mbps
PRICE: £42.95 £34.95 per month

Superfast No Contract Fibre Broadband 63Mbps
PRICE: £49.95 £39.95 per month

Broadband Deal 11Mbps
PRICE: £17.95 £16.95 for 12 months (£22.95 thereafter)

Broadband Deal No Contract 11Mbps
PRICE: £29.95 £27.95 per month

Take note that the above prices are available to 95% of UK premises, while those in the final 5% (i.e. outside of their LLU network area) will have to pay a few £ pounds more and will only be able to get a 100GB usage allowance instead of unlimited (they’ll also have to pay a £24.95 one-off setup fee).

Misleading headline? They are slashing the prices, not the services.

More like a mistake, should have said Prices not Services. My bad.

Outside their LLU area it seems to be a bit more then a few pounds more – I just had a look and their website quoted me £37.95pm for ADSL.
