The UK ISP division of the Post Office has today reduced the price of their Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC / VDSL2) based broadband and phone packages. On top of that they’ve also added two new benefits to their packages, which includes a 6 months free weekend call plan and 6 months free F-Secure SAFE (internet security).
As usual the prices below are intended for new customers and they’ll also receive an included wireless router, phone line rental, unlimited data usage, free calls to other Post Office Home Phone users at any time, free UK support and a free online tool (Parental Controls) that blocks harmful or inappropriate content online.
The operator has also pledged “no mid-contract broadband price rises,” although this does not include call plans or other charges, such as call charges or call features. The offer for 6 months of free weekend calls is opt-in and after this period elapses a charge of +£2 extra a month will be applied, unless you cancel the feature.
Likewise F-Secure SAFE will cost £25 for an additional 12 months after the first 6 months free period (saving you £54.99 off the normal price).
