Energy provider and ISP Shell Energy has today discounted their home broadband and phone packages for new subscribers, which for example drops their 63Mbps “Superfast Fibre Plus” package from £34.99 per month on an 18 month term to just £29.99. Customers will be able to take this deal until 1st June 2020.
As usual subscribers can expect to receive unlimited usage, a free wireless router, phone line rental (standard call charges), free connection and an 18 month minimum contract term. On top of that they also pledge NOT to hike your broadband prices at the end of your initial minimum contract period.
Apparently you’ll also get “exclusive savings” on fuel at Shell service stations, plus “personalised offers and other surprises, only with the Shell Go+ rewards programme” (the latter offers are not spelled out). One catch is that Shell, much like other ISPs, will not currently be able to install a brand new phone line if you need one due to the COVID-19 lockdown (this is not an issue for most normal migrations).
