Sky’s sibling UK ISP and video streaming service, NOW TV (NOW Broadband), is set to end their partnership with Tesco, which began last August (here) and enabled existing Clubcard holders to convert their vouchers into credit for triple the value when used with the service (e.g. £5 worth of vouches becomes £15).
The surprisingly attractive agreement meant that you could, for example, take a £5 voucher and use the £15 of credit created by that to help pay for your NOW TV subscription / TV plans. Unfortunately, this agreement may have been a bit too attractive because Tesco has this week started to send out an email to their Clubcard customers with a NOW TV account, which warns that their partnership will be ending on 31st January 2021.
A copy of the email, which was seen by ISPreview.co.uk, reads as follows: “We’re writing to let you know that the partnership between NOW TV and Clubcard is ending on 31 January 2021. So after that date, you’ll no longer be able to use your Clubcard vouchers towards a NOW TV pass. We’re sorry if you’re disappointed by this change.” So if you’re planning to convert those Clubcard points to credits for use on NOW TV then now is probably a good time to do it.
