City focused full fibre (FTTP/B) ISP Hyperoptic, which currently covers over 400,000 UK premise and holds an aspiration to cover 5 million by the end of 2024 (here), has today dropped the price of their top gigabit (900Mbps+ average speed) plan to just £40 per month for the first 12 months (£60 thereafter)..
The latest tweak to pricing is set to run from today until 2nd December 2020 and you’ll need to enter the promotion code BF20 during checkout. We should add that customers wanting to take their entry-level 30Mbps plan will need to follow this link because for some reason they don’t include it on their main product page.
As usual new customers can choose from either a ‘broadband and phone’ bundle or a ‘broadband-only’ (standalone) service on a 12-month minimum contract term. You can also get a “no contract” option (broadband-only), but this tends to cost a few pounds extra per month. We note that a one-off connection fee of £29 applies to most packages, albeit dropping to £9.99 on their 30Mbps option.
All packages include unlimited usage, 24/7 support, a wireless router and a dynamic IP address or £5 extra per month for a Static IP. Hyperoptic’s network has an ambition to cover 2 million homes by the end of 2021 and then possibly 5 million by the end of 2024 (here), but their progress over the past year appears to have slowed.

Nice if you can actually get it in your are. I have registered interested 4 times now over 2 years. Still nothing
I use hyperoptic but I wished they would have better pricing for customers who remain loyal to them.
I really hope you’re being sarcastic.
Compare their pricing to other providers and then come back complaining.
£40ish pm is what you’d get for a 40/10 connection with most providers.
Hi Mark, can you tell me the how long it normally takes openreach to commission their fttp installs. The teams were installing and splicing in my street for the last month, but speaking with openreach through emails they say it will be winter 2021 before orders may be taken. I am assuming this is a extremely conservative estimate. Thanks for any help
1Gb for £40 a month? Is that for the 10 buildings in the country that can actually get it?
