Energy provider and UK ISP Shell Energy has today enhanced the existing discounts on their “Superfast Fibre” (FTTC) home broadband packages by bundling in a Chromecast device with Google TV “at no extra cost“. The new deal is set to run for new customers until 7th December 2020.
As usual Shell’s Openreach based broadband packages all include a wireless router, 18-month minimum contract term, free activation, unlimited usage, copper line rental with standard call rates (PAYG) and an engineer installation.
The provider also pledges “no end-of-contract price rises” and offers “exclusive savings on fuel at Shell service stations,” as well as a vague reference to other “personalised offers and other surprises.” New customers who need a brand-new line installed will have to pay a £60 one-off charge.
