UK ISP BT Business will today launch a set of cheaper “Full Fibre Business Essential” packages on their gigabit-capable and Openreach based Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network. Prices for smaller firms and home workers (SoHo) now start at just £25.95 +vat a month for download speeds of up to 150Mbp (29Mbps upload).
At the time of writing, the new prices weren’t yet live on the BT Business website, although once they do go online then they’ll only be available for new customers to order until 7th November 2021. As usual, all the packages include unlimited usage, a 24-month contract term, digital phone service, a Smart Hub 2 wireless router and access to BT’s national network of public WiFi hotspots.
Some of the packages will also bundle in the Halo add-on at extra cost, which adds a Static IP address, enhanced IT support, a fixed price promise, guest Wi-Fi and hybrid connect (i.e. a 4G based mobile broadband backup solution for if or when your fixed line connection goes down).
Chris Sims, BT’s MD for its SoHo unit, said: “With more people shifting to working from home and setting up businesses from the kitchen table, improving access to affordable full fibre broadband is more important than ever. Many of the country’s smallest business owners are also feeling financially squeezed by the lasting effects of the pandemic, so we’ve come up with our best value full fibre packages yet.”

If only I had FTTH. Stuck with Copper-To-The-Cabinet. No altnets in sight.
What speed do you get on your copper connection? Have you considered 4G?
Hi, Can see all the offers except Essential 150 – am I looking in the right place or is the offer regionalised ?
