Network builder and UK ISP Vorboss, which is investing £250 million to deploy a 100Gbps capable dedicated full fibre broadband and Ethernet network for businesses in London (mostly around the central areas), has today appointed John Browett as their new Chairman.
The operator, which is being backed by investment from the Fern Trading Group (advised by Octopus Investments) and has already installed over 500km of fibre in the city, currently harbours a commitment to “cover all commercial buildings” in Central London with their new network (here). Furthermore, they recently added a 100Gbps fibre product from £2,999 +vat per month (here).
The provider’s new Chairman will also be joining the board of Fern Trading Group, which comes as Paul Latham retires from his position as CEO of the group. John himself has 40 years of experience behind him in the retail and investment industries, not least after having held senior leadership roles at Apple Retail, Dixons Retail PLC, Dunelm, and tesco.com
John is also well known to the company as he already sits on the board of the Octopus Group Holdings, which is the parent of Octopus Investments.
Tim Creswick, CEO of Vorbos, said:
“John joining us as Chairman couldn’t come at a better time to drive forward our ambitions. I’m proud of our growing business and moving the market into a world where end-users no longer think about bandwidth. John’s depth of expertise and his counsel will be invaluable as we really start to scale.”
End.
