A number of broadband ISPs and mobile operators are kicking off special January sales today, such as BT with its offer of 6 months half-price broadband and Sky Broadband’s general package discounts. We’ve summarised both of these below in a bit more detail.
We’ll start this short summary of new weekly deals with BT, where the ISP has made all of their upfront connection costs for new customers free (previously £29.99 one-off) and introduced an offer of 6 months half-price across almost all of their broadband packages and some bundles with 24-month terms. This “winter sale” looks set to run until 2nd Feb 2023.
BT’s prices now range from £14.49 a month (£28.99 after 6 months) on Fibre Essential (36Mbps) to £27.99 a month (£55.99 after 6 months) on their top Full Fibre 900Mbps plan. The full fibre packages also include a BT Reward Card (Prepaid Mastercard) worth between £50 to £100 and many also benefit from a 1-month free speed boost (e.g. those taking the 150Mbps tier are boosted to 500Mbps etc.).
Elsewhere, Sky Broadband has also discounted some of their package prices for new customers, which now start at £23 per month for their Sky Superfast 35Mbps Broadband plan on an 18-month term (£35.50 thereafter) and go up to £40 per month (£50 thereafter) for their Sky Ultrafast Plus Broadband (500Mbps) tier. All come with free setup.
