Network provider Freedom Fibre, which has deployed a gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 285,000 UK premises (21st Dec 2023) – mostly in the North West of England, has today announced that Cumbria-based wholesale connectivity provider IP River have joined their network.
Until recently, Freedom Fibre’s network was only accessible to consumers and businesses via packages from UK ISP TalkTalk, although they were recently joined by the Fusion Fibre Group and Squirrel Internet. By comparison, IP River supplies connections to business customers such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Hienz, and Disney, but they’ll now be able to expand their options via new B2B packages for businesses in the North West.
IPRiver was also the first ISP to book a business connection on Freedom Fibre’s new FibrePlus product, which is a package that provides businesses with a fully flexible connection that can scale with changing bandwidth requirements (up to 8.8Gbps).
Lee Sutch, Freedom Fibre’s Head of B2B, said:
“Partnering with IP River allows Freedom Fibre a great opportunity to work with connectivity resellers to help us to deliver our disruptive B2B FibrePlus services into more businesses across the North West. Helping our B2B customers of all sizes to benefit from faster more reliable connectivity for less.”
End.
