AllPoints Fibre Networks (APFN), which is a Fern Trading backed wholesale platform (aquila) that aggregates connectivity from several different UK full fibre networks for UK retail providers to sell, has today announced that their partner ISPs and managed service providers (MSPs) can access CityFibre’s 1.7Gbps and 2.3Gbps speed FTTP broadband products.
CityFibre’s national full fibre (FTTP) broadband ISP network is currently available to around 4.7 million UK premises (4.5m RFS), although sadly APFN don’t appear to be supporting their top 5.5Gbps tier, yet. But today’s move does still mean that ISPs using APFN’s network can now sell broadband packages at the 1.7Gbps and 2.3Gbps levels to their consumers and business customers.
The announcement follows only a few weeks after APFN signed a new partnership with Sky’s business broadband and wholesale division – Sky Business Wholesale – to make their Ethernet services available through APFN’s aquila platform (here).

How about they launch multigig fibre or indeed any other kind of service on their own network. 9 months since they told us they had completed integration of their networks & they still aren’t making it available to retail customers. It is really that much of a mess? What an absolute joke.
