Streaming platform provider Roku UK, which last year began to deploy their “first-ever” FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels to streaming boxes at no extra cost (here), has today announced that they’ve added another five FAST TV channels to their existing total of 40. The new additions all come from ITV Studios.
Just to recap. FAST channels require a broadband connection for internet access and tend to reflect special dedicated channels that usually only offer content and schedules based on either a single TV show or theme. As usual all the channels will be available via all Roku TV models and Roku streaming players, while being fully integrated into The Roku Channel and Live TV Guide.
The latest five channels from ITV Studios should be fairly familiar to Brits as they’re almost all focused on specific TV celebrities and shows.

The last two maybe, but Ramsay and Norton can both do one, can’t stand either.
I really don’t see the point in fast channels, at some point they are just going to repeat, still I suppose they are free, well that depends. If they are actual channels and follow a linier path, then for me, they are not free as legally I would have to buy a TV licence. If they are on demand then I can watch them without a licence.
Not that anyone would know, but for me, linier channels are out of date, not having bothered with them for around 8 years
itv needs to add older police things; we love when people share them
