Shropshire-based independent ISP Aquiss has this morning announced some price reductions across their range of Business Full Fibre packages on Netomnia’s national network, which offers speeds of up to 7Gbps (average) and is available to over 125,000 business premises across the UK. For example, their top 7Gbps tier has been cut from £120 +vat per month to £80.
The provider’s Netomnia-based business FTTP packages currently start at £30 +vat (monthly) for 75Mbps, then £32 for 150Mbps, £34 for 300Mbps, £36 for 500Mbps, 900Mbps for £40, 1.8Gbps for £45 and the top 7Gbps tier is, as above, now £80 per month.
All packages offer symmetric speeds, Enhanced Care (targeted fault resolution within 20 clock hours), static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, unlimited usage, a 12-month minimum contract term and a pledge of no annual mid-contract price rises. But you’ll need to pay a £100 one-off installation charge (free on 7Gbps) and supply your own router.

How is this a thing? I thought the only way to access Netomnia’s network was to use the fairly awful YouFibre. I wasn’t aware it was sold on to other suppliers at all – “business” or otherwise. Are there other Netomnia wholesalers?
Netomnia launched wholesale plans last year, but only for business packages:

Thanks Mark 🙂
It’s a real shame if you have an old Youfibre line in your road you can’t use this. I left as a Business customer as there was nothing more than 1Gbps avaiable over FTTP. If that ever changes I would be back in a heart beat.
Have you contacted Jeremy about this?
He knows who to talk to.
Send me an email. All our lines are the same (XGS) except one 50G 🙂
When people complain about poor broadband and the say the need it for work, it’s amazing how many don’t actually have a business package. If it’s such a life line then surely a higher investment is required.
Still wondering what will happen after the merger?
