JioHotstar comes to Sky Q, Sky Glass and Stream as part of UK launch

Sky has announced that customers of their broadband-based Sky Glass and Sky Stream pay TV streaming devices and service, as well as those on their older satellite-base Sky Q platform, can how also access JioHotstar, which is often described as being India’s largest premium streaming platform.

JioHotstar, which boasts of having more than 530 million monthly active users, offers more than 160,000 hours of programming across 12+ Asian languages via its service, spanning premium originals, blockbuster films, popular television dramas, reality entertainment, live sports, and kids and family programming. This officially launched in the UK on 2nd September 2026.

The network is now expanding its partnership with Sky to increase access to its entertainment offering across the UK. Eligible Sky TV customers will thus continue to get JioStar channels included in their subscription, while Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers can also now subscribe directly to the JioHotstar app.

JioHotstar offers subscription options in the UK, with a quarterly plan at £19.99 and an annual plan at £69.99. Existing Hotstar subscribers can continue to enjoy their current monthly subscription plans, until auto renewal remains active. They can transition seamlessly without any service disruption using their current credentials. New users can sign up directly via the App Store and Google Play Store across mobile and connected TV devices, while Sky customers can subscribe to JioHotstar directly via the app on Sky.
