Mobile group Everything Everywhere (Orange UK and T-Mobile) has agreed to sell some of its prized 1800MHz radio spectrum to rival Three UK, which could theoretically allow the operator to launch its own superfast “4G” (Long Term Evolution) based Mobile Broadband services before the end of 2012.

Budget internet provider TalkTalk UK has increased the cost of its early termination charges by up to +£2 extra a month, which is the fee you pay when choosing to leave your broadband and or phone service contract before its minimum term period (12 or 18 months) has expired.

The tiny civil parish village of Cowesby (Hambleton) in North Yorkshire UK can now access broadband speeds of up to 25Mbps after community network developer CLANNET Broadband made use of the local St Michael and All Angels Church to expand the coverage of its wireless network. Other villages will also benefit.

The communications regulator, Ofcom, has today ignored threats of legal action from rival mobile operators by allowing T-Mobile and Orange UK (Everything Everywhere) to deploy superfast “4G” Mobile Broadband services over their existing 1800MHz radio spectrum.
