UK ISP Swish Fibre, which is working to deploy a 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 250,000 premises in the Home Counties, has signed an agreement with civil engineering firm MGM Utilities that will see them extend into Gerrards Cross and Bourne End (South Buckinghamshire).

A joint £2.1m project between Openreach (BT), Buckinghamshire County Council and the Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) looks set to result in a further 270 businesses and 485 homes in the county’s most rural communities gaining access to a gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network.

The Milton Keynes Council has issued a “red warning” against Cityfibre’s £40m roll-out of a new 1Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband network – supported by ISP partner Vodafone UK, which is due to the level of complaints being made against the provider and inspectors identifying “poor practise” in their work.

The Milton Keynes Council in Buckinghamshire has reached a new agreement with UK ISP Hyperoptic, which will see their 1000Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / B) broadband network being rolled out to cover 4,500 social housing properties in the town. The work is “due to start imminently.”
