The United Kingdom’s Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has today started the hunt for next year’s ISP industry award finalists, which covers plenty of familiar categories (e.g. Best Superfast Broadband) and some new ones (e.g. Best Rural Broadband).

Ofcom’s proposal to give residential and small business consumers in the United Kingdom an automatic right to compensation from their broadband, phone or mobile provider when things go wrong (here), such as due to a “loss or reduction of service“, has drawn widespread concern from ISPs.

It’s that time of the year again. The Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has revealed the winners of their 18th annual 2016 Internet industry awards, which among other things saw London wireless ISP Relish pick-up the winning spot for “Best Consumer Broadband” and Hyperoptic secure the “Best Superfast Broadband” gong.

The Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has taken a look back at the number of times that “broadband” has been mentioned in Parliament since 2010 and discovered that there has been a 75% increase in references, which isn’t a surprise because that’s when Internet connectivity became a big issue.
