ISP FACTCO Making Progress on UK Community Full Fibre Builds

UK ISP FACTCO (Ecodial) appears to be making progress on a growing number of their community focused Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband deployments, which is helping to make gigabit speed connectivity available to homes across parts of Northumberland, County Durham, Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Fixed wireless ISP 6G Internet (IX Wireless), which despite the name is not connected to the future 6G mobile standard, has today announced the launch of a new “game changing” gigabit broadband network across the Lancashire (England) town of Blackburn. The provider also aspires to cover another 250,000 UK premises this year and 4 million by 2025.

ITS Technology’s Full Fibre Network Set to Go Live in Preston

B4RN’s CEO Becomes First Customer of 10Gbps Home Broadband

The CEO of rural UK full fibre ISP B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North), Barry Forde, has become the first person to sign-up to the provider’s new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) plan. The first live speed test of this produced a download speed of 8341Mbps and uploads of 6644Mbps, with latency of just 1ms.

Virgin Media UK Extend FTTP a Little in Blackburn and Darwen

£250k Full Fibre Boost for Homes and Businesses in Wyre

Virgin Media UK Extend FTTP Broadband to 4000 Blackpool Homes

Some 4,000 extra premises in the large seaside town of Blackpool, which resides on the Lancashire coast, have just been added to ISP Virgin Media’s new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based ultrafast broadband and TV network. Average speeds of 516Mbps are available to those covered, but faster services are coming.
