Netomnia Expand FTTP Broadband to 3 Million UK Premises as Take-up Rises

One of the UK’s largest alternative broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), has today reported their latest Q4 2025 results. The figures reveal that revenues on their full fibre (FTTP) network increased to £104m (up 168% year-on-year) and take-up reached 15% (up 28% YoY). Some 3 million premises are now covered (up by 245k in Q4 vs 241k in Q3).

Six Alternative UK Broadband Networks Ranked in Sunday Times 100 Tech List

The latest 2026 Sunday Times 100 Tech list has been published, which reflects a ranking of Britain’s fastest-growing private technology companies. The good news is that six broadband network operators have managed to make it into the 2026 hardware list, with Netomnia topping the table in 3rd place and CityFibre just edging in at 48th at the bottom.

Netomnia to Merge Retail UK Broadband ISP Brand Brsk into YouFibre

One of the UK’s largest alternative full fibre broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), has confirmed to ISPreview that they plan to merge their two retail internet providers into a single brand. The move means that Brsk’s operations will now become part of YouFibre and adopt the same branding – reflecting the strong performance of the latter brand.

The database has since been put up for sale.

The figures reveal that revenues on their multi-gigabit speed full fibre (FTTP) network increased to £27.7m (up from £23.6m in Q2 and 125% YoY) and take-up reached 14% (up from 13.4%). Some 2.8 million premises are now covered (up 241k in Q3 vs 243k in Q2).

A major newspaper has this morning claimed that broadband giant Virgin Media (O2) have opened non-exclusive talks with alternative full fibre network operator Netomnia (Youfibre, Brsk), which could result in a £2bn deal that would expand VMO2’s network coverage and potentially remove a key competitor from the market. CityFibre are also said to be interested in the altnet.
