Tewkesbury-based network operator Netomnia (Brsk, Youfibre), which has so far rolled out their full fibre broadband (FTTP) lines to cover 2.56 million UK premises (341,000 customers), has today significantly expanded the wholesale availability of their infrastructure by making it available via new internet providers (ISPs). Starting with business (B2B) packages.

Shropshire-based UK broadband ISP Aquiss has today announced that they’ve become one of the first third-party retail internet providers to offer full fibre packages for businesses via Netomnia’s growing national network, which includes symmetric speeds from 75Mbps and up to 8Gbps (7000Mbps average).

Network operator Netomnia (Brsk, Youfibre), which has so far rolled out their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 2.56 million UK homes (inc. 341,000 customers), has appointed industry veteran Matthew Skipsey to be its new Managing Director (MD) of wholesale ahead of an expected adoption by more ISPs.

Alternative network operator Netomnia (Brsk, Youfibre) has today published their Q2 2025 results, which reveals that their multi-gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network now covers 2.56 million UK premises (up 243k in the quarter) and is home to 341,000 customers (up 54k).

Alternative broadband ISP Brsk (Netomnia) has been fined £14,000 by Ofcom over its roll-out of hundreds of new 9 metre high telecoms poles in the city of Birmingham, which were installed to support the roll-out of a new full fibre (FTTP) network. But they were today found to have breached two conditions under the Electronic Communications Code (ECC).

The current owners of internet provider Yayzi Broadband appear to be in the process of establishing a new provider called nufibre, which is due to launch in about a month and will be offering FTTP broadband packages via a selection of network operators (the website shows logos for Openreach, Trooli, Freedom Fibre, MS3, CityFibre and others).

Alternative network operator Netomnia (Brsk, Youfibre), which has so far rolled out their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 2.5 million UK homes (inc. 325,000 customers), has today become the latest provider to adopt VIAVI’s ONMSi Remote Fibre Test System (RFTS) to “simplify and accelerate network installation and ongoing maintenance“.

Network operator and UK ISP Brsk (Netomnia) has scrapped plans to deploy three additional 9-metre-high wood telecoms poles on Fernwood Road and Bracken Close in Marple Bridge (Stockport, Greater Manchester), which came after a significant portion of locals protested the plan. Residents complained it would have spoilt their view of the surrounding countryside.

Internet provider Youfibre, which uses Netomnia’s (Brsk) fast-growing national full fibre (FTTP) broadband network, this week launched a new ‘My Account’ service / portal for customers. But this ended up becoming a victim of its own success after the ISP notified that “unprecedented demand” was preventing some customers from being able to log-in.

Some customers of UK broadband ISP Youfibre, which harnesses Netomnia’s 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network, have seen their service return to normal after appearing to suffer from a noticeable drop in network latency and upload performance over the past few days. But for others, the issue is ongoing.

Broadband ISP Brsk, which currently covers 2.4 million UK premises (RFS) via Netomnia’s national full fibre (FTTP) network, will today introduce a “permanent price change for the foreseeable future” on their BetterNet1000 (900Mbps average speed) package – reducing it from £37 to just £35 per month for both new and renewing (existing) customers.

Alternative broadband operator Netomnia, which is supported by retail internet providers YouFibre and Brsk, has today become the first UK network operator to go live with a commercial deployment of 50Gbps capable 50G-PON based Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology (real-world speeds of up to c.40Gbps are expected for homes and businesses).

One of the UK’s largest alternative full fibre broadband operators, Netomnia (inc. retail ISPs Brsk and YouFibre), has deployed a Smartoptics ROADM-based core network across the UK that should deliver scalable IP over DWDM at 100G and 400G wavelengths and is even classed as being “800G-ready by design” (800Gbps if you prefer).

Alternative operator Netomnia (Brsk and YouFibre), which last week reported expanding their 10Gbps speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 2.4 million UK premises (RFS) and connecting 310,000 customers (here), has today published their Q1 2025 results and seen take-up grow to 12.4% (up from 11.5% in Q4 2024).

Alternative network operator Netomnia (Brsk and ISP YouFibre), which has now expanded their 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 2.4 million UK premises RFS (up from 2.2m end of Feb 2025) and connected 310,000 customers (up from 270k), has boosted their coverage target to 5 million premises and raised £160m in debt funding.
