The CEO of UK ISP Zen Internet, Richard Tang, has today published a new video interview with the CEO of network builder Netomnia (inc. sibling ISP YouFibre), Jeremy Chelot, which reveals a lot of useful information about the coverage of their alternative Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, costs, take-up and future targets.

Some 51,000 premises across the East Lothian settlement of Musselburgh in Scotland, including the surrounding area, will soon benefit after Netomnia, supported by UK ISP YouFibre, started a £15.3 million project to deploy a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband network across the location.

Some 85,000 homes and businesses across the Hertfordshire (England) town of Hitchin will soon benefit after Netomnia, supported by UK ISP YouFibre, started a significant £25.5 million project to deploy their new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband network across the area.

The latest independent data from Thinkbroadband‘s database has revealed that alternative full fibre (FTTP) broadband ISP networks (AltNets) now cover over a quarter (25.14%) of the UK, which is up from 23.64% at the end of June 2023. In terms of the top 10 locations where such networks dominate, Peterborough (84%) comes first.

Fibre optic network builder Netomnia, which is supported by UK ISP YouFibre, has today announced a significant milestone after their rollout of a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband network passed the 500,000 premises mark (up from 410k in March) and topped 40,000 customers.

Fibre builder Netomnia – supported by UK ISP YouFibre – have today added 5 new locations to their rollout of a 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, which will ultimately expand their coverage to a further 218,000 premises in England and at an additional cost of £66 million.

Gigabit broadband ISP YouFibre, which sells plans via Netomnia and Cityfibre’s respective Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) networks across different parts of the United Kingdom, has today reported that they now have a total customer base of 30,000 (up from 22,000 at the start of 2023).

Network operator Netomnia, which is supported by UK ISP YouFibre, has confirmed to ISPreview that they’ve quietly added another 4 towns – this time in Hertfordshire (England) – to the 2023 rollout plan for their 10Gbps capable full fibre (FTTP) broadband network (currently covers 410,000 premises, up from 300k in Nov 2022).

Network operator Netomnia – supported by UK ISP YouFibre – have today announced that their rollout of 10Gbps capable FTTP broadband has been boosted after they completed their latest fundraise of £230m in committed debt financing from a group of six bank lenders (HSBC UK, ING, NIBC, RBC, Standard Chartered, and UKIB).
