The not-for-profit run Tove Valley Broadband project (Abthorpe Broadband Association) in Northamptonshire (England) is in the process of securing additional funding from the Government’s (DCMS) Gigabit Voucher Scheme, which should enable their volunteers to rollout “full fibre” (FTTP) broadband to more properties.

Fibre optic developer Cityfibre has today announced that they’ve started the construction phase of their new £40m project to rollout a 1Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband network across the East Midlands (England) town of Northampton, which is being supported by UK ISP partner Vodafone.

The Superfast Northamptonshire project in England has today signed two new contracts – worth £10.23m – with rural fibre optic ISP Gigaclear, which will enable the provider to roll-out their ultrafast (1Gbps+) Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP) broadband network to 6,330 premises.
