UK ISP WarwickNet has announced that businesses in the Luton area of Bedfordshire, specifically Capability Green, Dallow Road, Luton Airport, Sundon Industrial Estate and Laporte Way, will soon be able to access their new fibre optic based broadband network.
The provider claims to have built 8 new street cabinets across the town, which will all be going live during January 2017. The cabinets should enable broadband speeds of up to 100Mbps via their FTTC and FTTP network, as well as up to 10Gbps via leased lines.
In order to help deliver FTTP, WarwickNet is one of only a few ISPs across the country to be deploying Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) commercially, which allows them to build their own infrastructure faster and more efficiently by harnessing Openreach’s (BT) existing cable ducts and telegraph poles.
Ben King, WarwickNet Founder, said:
“We are uniquely placed to grow rapidly in the business connectivity solutions arena and have ambitious plans to grow our presence in Bedfordshire.
We have connected many hundreds of businesses across the UK which have seen first-hand the difference high-speed internet can make to their day-to-day operations and we are excited to be able to help firms in Bedfordshire really move forward with their connectivity.”
End.
