UK ISP BT Slashes Unlimited Broadband and Fibre FTTC Prices

Internet provider BT has introduced a discount that cuts the cost of their standard (up to 17Mbps) unlimited broadband package to just £4.50 per month for 12 months, while their superfast (up to 52Mbps) Unlimited Infinity 1 service is now reduced to £9.50 and 76Mbps Infinity 2 to £25.

As usual the promotion, which is only available to new subscribers until the end of next week, still requires customers to pay standard BT’s Standard Line Rental of £18.99 inc. VAT per month on top of the broadband fee. However this can be reduced to the monthly equivalent of £17.09 when paying for one year in advance via Line Rental Saver (total £205.08).

NOTE: We use total all-in prices below, which includes the cost of line rental saver (monthly equivalent). The price in brackets is the post-discount cost, which will apply if you stay with BT after the first 12 month offer has ended.

Take note that customers who cancel their service within the first 12 month contract period will also have to pay back the cost of BT’s router, which is £55 for the HomeHub 4 and £65 for the SmartHub.
