Broadband ISP Zen Internet Discounts CityFibre’s UK FTTP Packages UPDATE

Tuesday, Feb 17th, 2026 (10:08 am) - Score 2,280

Rochdale-based UK ISP Zen Internet appears to have recently discounted the monthly prices of their CityFibre based full fibre (FTTP) home broadband packages by between £2 to £3. For example, the provider’s top 2.3Gbps (symmetric speed) plan has fallen from £57 to £54 per month. But Zen’s Openreach based packages remain unchanged.

The other discounts, as spotted by one of our readers (John), include their 155Mbps package falling from £30 to £28 per month, while 500Mbps is now £34 per month and 910Mbps has dropped to £39. All packages are on an 18-month minimum term, including a FRITZ!Box 7530 AX WiFi 6 wireless router (except on 2.3Gbps where it’s an Amazon eero Pro 6E by default), Static IP address and “free” setup.

NOTE: CityFibre’s 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband ISP network already covers 4.7 million UK premises (4.5m RFS).

The aforementioned pricing is currently targeted at new customers, although as it appears to be a change in standard pricing then it’s possible that existing customers who choose to re-contract may also be able to benefit (not yet confirmed, but we’re checking). Zen also pledges to guarantee “no in-contract price increases“.

UPDATE 19th Feb 2026 @ 5pm

Zen has confirmed that existing customers who are out of contract can re-contract at the new price. The new pricing also applies where customers upgrade while still in contract. For example, if a customer moves from Full Fibre 500 to Full Fibre 900, they would begin a new contract for Full Fibre 900 at the new price for that product.

Bit cheeky they cut CityFibre but Openreach also reduced pricing on their latest equinox offer doesn’t look like Zen are passing that on

Yes, I’ve been keeping an eye on the prices for the 1.6Gb plan at EE and IDNET (thinking of switching), and have yet to see any price drops since 1st Feb.

It’s not just CityFibre. I had a look at Zen’s site and they’ve also reduced pricing for Freedom Fibre, Trooli and MS3 areas. I called them to double check and was told Openreach packages are due a price reduction later this month too.

Feels more like a broader pricing reset than a single network promo.

I just got migrated over from Lit Fibre to Zen this week. Still on my Lit Fibre contract for another 2 months but the offers look pretty decent! Very happy with Zen so far

I looked at zen Im in cityfibre area and they say cityfibre is not available Bt Only
    £50 1 gig
    £42 500 Mbps
    £35 105 Mbps

These are not good prices Not competitive at all Zen is over priced

I’ve noticed today that the Openreach FTTP Zen prices have dropped to:
    105Mb £33
    500Mb £39
    910Mb £45
    1600Mb £56

The difference in cost between Openreach and CityFibre backhaul has now reduced to about £5 per month.

I’ve recontracted part of the way through my contract at the next tier up to get the higher upload speed.
