Budget UK home internet and phone provider PlusNet have begun offering 6 Months FREE broadband and calls across both the standard / cheaper up to 16Mbps Value (10GB usage – unlimited offpeak) and more flexible Extra (60GB usage – unlimited offpeak) packages for new customers, which also includes FREE activation (normally worth £25).
This new promotion is available until 29th May 2012 and includes a free wireless router, 12 month contract, free calls to PlusNet’s UK-based call centre (24/7) and a choice of either free ‘Evening and Weekend‘ or ‘Anytime‘ calls to UK landlines and 0870 / 0845 numbers. Sadly PlusNet’s huge discount does not apply to its superfast “fibre” broadband packages.
As usual it’s important to mention that the new deals also require you to take out PlusNet’s Phone Line Rental service from an extra £9.49 per month (when paid 12 months in advance). Likewise the post-offer broadband price rises if your home is in one of Ofcom’s Market 1 (i.e. rural) areas where there is less competition between providers (e.g. the entry-level Value package will go from being £6.49 to £12.99 a month [free for the first 6 months]).
