Mobile operator and ISP EE (Everything Everywhere) will today refresh their fixed line home broadband and phone bundles with new discounts, although some of these represent a price rise from the previous 6 and 3 months free promotions. Line rental has also risen from £14 to £14.75 a month.
The provider has also copied other ISPs to sneakily change its included off peak calls (it use to be free UK calls 7pm – 7am on weekdays and all weekend) to free weekend calls, which means that you can no longer get free calls during weekday evenings and early mornings.

Customers will also receive a free wireless router, 12 months of McAfee internet security, access to the EE Film video streaming service and of course 2 for 1 cinema tickets every Wednesday.
Sylvain Thevenot, EE’s Director of Home Marketing, said:
“With summer holidays fast approaching and the whole family looking to get online, it’s more important than ever that people have a superfast broadband connection to help keep harmony within the household. With our new best value unlimited fibre plans, we are not only making fibre broadband more affordable, but also making sure everyone can enjoy the Internet at the highest possible speed even when connected at the same time.”

As a result of all this some of EE’s new packages, while pleasingly simplified, now look a little less attractive than before. On the other hand the old £15 Fibre Broadband (40GB allowance) package has now been replaced with an “unlimited” option at the same price and many of EE’s rivals have more expensive Fibre packages.
Take note that the above prices include a £5 (monthly) discount to Orange, T-Mobile and EE mobile customers living in their network area. An 18 month contract also applies.
