UK ISP TalkTalk are offering double the internet usage allowances across their various mobile phone tariffs, including their current half price SIM-only options. As a result tariffs at the cheapest end, which previously included just 100MB (MegaBytes) of data, now come with 200MB and those that came with 2GB (GigaBytes) now get 4GB.
The increase also coincides with their half-price offer, which means that it’s now possible to get a Medium SIM-only tariff from £3.75 a month (normally £7.50) for a year that includes 300 minutes, 3000 texts and 1GB of data (increased from 500MB) on a 12 month contract. The Large SIM-only costs £7.50 for 1000 mins, 3000 texts and 4GB of data. This is only available via online sign-ups.

The combination makes the tariffs seem more attractive to mobile data users than Three UK, although it should be said that TalkTalk’s virtual mobile network platform is based off Vodafone’s network and they haven’t exactly been having the best of luck in recent Mobile Broadband performance tests (here and here).
As a side note the Medium mobile phone and tariff bundles are currently coming with a pledge to triple data allowances (e.g. 500MB becomes 1.5GB etc.).
