Communications provider Zen Internet has added a new ‘up to’ 76Mbps (19Mbps uploads) capable Unlimited Fibre Office package, which includes an SLA and 60Mbps speed “guarantee”, to its wider range of superfast broadband (FTTC) products for business and home users in the United Kingdom.
The new package costs from £59 +vat per month on a 12 month contract and subscribers are also required to take Zen’s Business Line Rental at £17.00 +vat per month, with the latter being very pricey for a line rental that doesn’t offer any free calls (note: line rental on the home package is cheaper). But there’s a lot more beneath the surface to attract business users.

The Unlimited Fibre Office services includes some very interesting features, which are on top of the “truly unlimited usage” allowance. Customers will also benefit from a guaranteed speed of 60Mbps (i.e. 80% of maximum available sync rate) and 24/7 technical support with 12 hour fix, which is supported by a 99% uptime guarantee (i.e. if your connection does go down, Zen will have you up and running again within 7 hours or automatically credit your account with £25).
Richard Tang, Zen’s Managing Director, said:
“For businesses wanting guaranteed performance, Unlimited Fibre Office is the premium business grade service that allows them to fully realise the potential of superfast broadband, safe in the knowledge that there are no limits and no additional charges.
We have built our reputation for quality over many years by continually striving towards our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK. Our investment in our network allows us to provide cutting-edge Fibre Optic Broadband services to our customers for less money whilst retaining all the Zen quality and reliability benefits.”
The ISP states that it’s free to transfer an existing telephone line to Zen for new customers and Zen’s call charges are lower than other providers, including BT; this is partly because Zen does not have a minimum call set up or call connection fee for any calls to UK landline, mobile or international telephone numbers. Subscribers can add 5000 anytime minutes to 01, 02, 03, 0845 & 0870 numbers for an extra £6.50 per month.
