TalkTalk, Sky Broadband and Virgin Media Add New Gift Credits and Vouchers

Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 (11:40 am) - Score 611

The seemingly endless merry-go-round of special offers has continued this week with Sky Broadband, TalkTalk and Virgin Media all adding a range of new vouchers and gift credits, with some worth as much as £100, to attract new subscribers.

We tend to prefer not reporting on voucher and credit changes too often as they can easily become a bit like musical chairs, with ISPs recycling the same old promotions every few weeks in order to get coverage (spam) and we’re not terribly keen on that.

But every once in a while several ISPs put out a shotgun blast of higher level offers that stack with other promotions and thus are worth a brief mention, so here’s our quick summary of the latest.

TalkTalk

After recently cutting their SimplyBroadband and phone bundle from £3.50 to just £1.75 per month for the first six months of service (note: Line Rental is still payable from £11.75 per month), TalkTalk has now also added a £25 Love2Shop Voucher (usable in many different shops) and this increases to £50 on their half price TV bundles.

Virgin Media

The cable operators “Collections” (bundles) of broadband, TV and phone, which are still being offered at a discount prices alongside free installation, will for the next week also give you an included account credit worth up to £100:

* £100 off on VIP and Premiere
* £75 off on Essential and Essential Family
* £75 off on Family Essential Sports Collection
* £50 off on Starter

Sky Broadband

New customers who want Sky’s unlimited broadband and phone service, with or without TV, can currently also benefit from an included £75 Marks & Spencers voucher (only worth £25 for Sky TV users who upgrade). As usual this is on top of the 12 months half-price promotion.

As a side note BT’s packages are also still offering an array of £25 or £50 Sainsbury’s Vouchers. Generally most of these gift offers only last for a week or so before being scaled back / removed.
