As seems to be customary at this time of year the Internet Service Providers Association UK (ISPA) has officially started their hunt for next year’s annual Internet industry awards, which are seeking nominations for a string of familiar categories (e.g. ‘Best Superfast Broadband’ and ‘Best Consumer Broadband’) and several new ones.
The new categories include Best SME Broadband and Best Enterprise Broadband. On top of that there’s a new Safety Award for those who have made an impact on safety, and the Security Award is of course for the best security product or initiative.
Entries are open from today until 30th January 2015 and entrants can expect, alongside the usual technical testing, to be “scrutinised by an independent panel of industry experts to decide a winner“. Separately the ISPA will also be celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2015.
Nicholas Lansman, ISPA Secretary General, said:
“ISPA will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015, so these awards are an excellent way to showcase how the UK Internet industry has transformed the country in the last twenty years and look to the future. The ISPAs reflect the diversity of ISPA members and the strength of the UK industry. I look forward to seeing a great range of entries this year.”
The press release doesn’t appear to set a date for the event, although a bit of digging reveals that next year’s ISPA Awards ceremony will be held at The Brewery in London on 2nd July 2015.
