Sky Offers First Month of Internet Video Streaming Service NOW TV for £1

Friday, May 29th, 2015 (1:33 am) - Score 736

Sky (Sky Broadband) will today cut the price of their increasingly popular unlimited web-based Internet TV and Movie (video streaming) service, NOW TV, to just £1 for the first month of their Entertainment Pass (returning to £6.99 thereafter); only if taken by new customers.

The Entertainment Pass typically gives subscribers LIVE and on-demand / catch-up access to the following TV channels: Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living, Sky Arts 1, Discovery, MTV, ITV Encore, Comedy Central, GOLD, Disney, Nickelodeon, Nick JR, FOX and ABC Studios.

Apparently the discount will be available to take until Sunday 28th June at 23:59 and take note that the Pass will then automatically renew to £6.99 after the trial period, so if you want to cancel then do so a day before it renews.

while l agree Sky subscriptions are “hard to cancel” NowTV isnt subscription based, you can cancel the month passes from the online panel at any time, the section to do it specifically states “month pass”.

as you may have guessed l myself use the month passes, and stopping the monthly passes when l’ll be away has been pretty easy.

Couple of minutes by phone. I know they are playing on the fact people don’t want to appear to be cheapskcates or not being able to afford a product, who cares!

Thanks for the article. For those who live outside UK and want to access NowTV, you can use UnoTelly as I do to get around the geo block.
