Three UK Resolves National Mobile Internet Connectivity Woes

Customers of mobile network operator Three UK have struggled to use their 3G and 4G based data (Mobile Broadband) connectivity since around 9am this morning and the fault appears to have sporadically affected subscribers across the United Kingdom.

Unfortunately Three UK is one of those operators that doesn’t appear to believe in running an informative Service Status page or community forum for customers of their network, although we did uncover a very brief statement on their Coverage Checker page.

Three UK Statement:

“Some of you are having trouble getting online at the moment. Sorry about this – we’re working hard to put things right, and we’ll have everything back up and running soon. In the meantime, remember you can still connect in lots of places using Wi-Fi. Check back here for more details.”

As usual Three’s Facebook and Twitter pages are full of complaints, with most stemming from major population centres like London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham etc. Meanwhile others have complained about how long it took the operator to acknowledge that a fault even existed, with the first Twitter post only cropping up at 11:51am.

Happily the issue has now been resolved, with a Three UK spokesperson saying, “We had some network issues earlier today but we can confirm they’re now resolved. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.”
