WarwickNet Expand Faster Broadband to 3 Berkshire Business Sites

Thursday, Feb 18th, 2016 (12:23 pm) - Score 274

Business ISP WarwickNet has announced that they’ve expanded their faster broadband network to three sites in Berkshire (England) to help local firms: Winnersh Triangle in Wokingham, as well as the Bennet Road and Cradock Road areas in Reading.

The provider typically deploys a mix of fixed line FTTC / FTTP and leased line style broadband services to related business parks and industrial estates, which are usually able to deliver data speeds of up to 100Mbps.

Thomas Smith, Business Development Manager at WarwickNet, said:

“Broadband connections in city centre locations tend to be improving but sourcing the same business-grade facilities in out-of-town areas remains difficult. That’s why we specialise in supplying businesses operating from industrial estates and business parks, giving them the opportunity to compete on a level playing field.

Of course there are still connectivity blackspots in built up areas such as Reading and so when Superfast Berkshire told us that businesses on Bennet Road and Cradock Road were receiving speeds as slow as 2 Mbit/s, we were happy to step in and provide the solutions they needed.

We’ve already signed up a number of customers across the three sites and look forward to continuing to work with Superfast Berkshire to provide increased connectivity to businesses in need.”

Apparently the work was done as part of a partnership between the ISP and the local Superfast Berkshire project. Jo Lovelock, Leader for Reading Borough Council, added: “We welcome the investment and innovation from Technology Companies such as WarwickNet in helping to deliver Superfast Broadband Infrastructure into our business parks which directly supports our local business economy and helps to achieve a key Superfast Broadband availability target for the Council.”

The services and prices delivered tend to vary from site to site.
