Openreach (BT) has announced that the service rental and migration prices for their old legacy Ethernet lines (WES, WEES and BES), specifically those that offer data speeds of 1Gbps or slower, will be significantly reduced from 1st April 2017. But only for existing customers.
The reductions vary from between -8% to -37% and you can see the full list of key changes here. For example, the annual rental cost of Openreach’s WES/WEES 100Mbps and BES 100Mbps products will fall from £1,317 +vat today to £900 next April.
Further details can be found on Openreach’s prices page. Openreach are also extending their legacy Ethernet base and its end of life support date by two years to 31st March 2020 (i.e. new customers can no longer take the above products).
