The Internet Telephony Services Providers Association, which represents the United Kingdom’s Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) industry, has announced their short-list of potential winners for this year’s ITSPA Awards event. Antheus, VoiceHost and Vonage are all up for the best consumer provider.
Last year saw Telappliant collect the award for Best Consumer VoIP Provider, although this was actually awarded on behalf of the company’s consumer focused VoIPtalk brand. By comparison the finalists for this category in 2017 are Antheus, VoiceHost and Vonage.
The event also covers various other categories (see below) and the winners are all due to be announced during a ceremony on 9th May 2017 at the Tower of London. Over the next few years we expect awards like this to become even more important, particularly with traditional telephone solutions making way for a much more broadband and VoIP orientated future.

Eli Katz, Chair of ITSPA Council, said:
“The strength of this year’s finalists not only reflects the quality of the entries received, but also the rapid development of the next generations communications industry. The ITSPA Awards continues to go from strength to strength and I look forward to meeting the finalists on the 9th May.”
We note that several of the categories – Best Consumer VoIP, Best Business ITSP (Small Enterprise) and Best Business (Medium Enterprise) – require two months’ worth of specialist technical testing by Netaxis Solutions, with support from Ziron.
