Rural fibre optic ISP Gigaclear has opened expanded office space at Abingdon Business Park (Oxfordshire), which should enable them to cope with plenty of new staff and support their ever growing roll-out of ultrafast Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP/H) based broadband networks across England.
The provider has so far managed to deploy their 1000Mbps+ broadband service to well over 35,000 rural properties around Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, Kent, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland and Worcestershire.
On top of that they’ve recently been awarded several significant new state aid supported Broadband Delivery UK contracts for Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Devon and Somerset (here and here). All of this requires the provider to go through a period of increasingly rapid growth and that means more staff, which should benefit from an additional 5,907 sq ft of office space at its headquarters on Windrush Court.

Mike Surrey, Gigaclear’s Chief Financial Officer, said:
“It is a very exciting time for Gigaclear as we are experiencing continued business growth. The decision to base our headquarters at Abingdon Business Park was definitely the right one, as we have been able to expand our HQ space without having to move which is invaluable to the organisation. We are now one of many companies to call Abingdon Business Park home!”
