Mobile operator EE has refreshed their range of 4G based pay-as-you-go (PAYG) Mobile Broadband plans in order to improve their flexibility (e.g. data roll-over for any unused allowance) and value. Customers who pick a plan of 6GB or above can also get up to 3GB of free data.
Under the new approach subscribers can choose from either a 30 or 90 day “starter pack” and then top-up via a series of different repeated add-ons. For example, a customer could pay an initial £30 for a SIM with 6GB of data to use over 90 days, but once their data has been used up, the same 6GB can then be topped up for £15.
Customers can also use their data allowance in the UK as well as when roaming around 48 destinations across Europe.

Mobile Broadband customers who select any pay as you go plan of 6GB or above can also get up to 3GB of free data (i.e. the more times you top-up, the more data you’ll receive). The first two times you purchase add ons – you receive 1GB free each time, the next two times it’s 2GB free and on the fifth top-up and there after you would receive 3GB free.
On top of that EE are also introducing data roll-over to their payg data packs, so if customers don’t manage to get through all their data then any unused allowance will automatically go through to the next pack (this applies to both new and existing subscribers). After another 30 days, anything unused from the increased allowance will then be carried over again – and so on.
Apparently customers won’t need to have automatic renewals in place to take advantage of the roll over. Instead, they will have 7 days’ grace after the expiry of their 30-day pack to buy a new pack and carry their unused data over.

I take it people on contracts are deemed too rich to want data rollover. 🙁
. . . or EE are less likely to lose income from them churning within their (lengthening) contract periods? Loyalty doesn’t pay. Probably either way.
Still cheaper to buy EE PAYG data sims on Amazon. I buy 6GB 90 day ones and just bin them when finished with.
Do you port your number every 90 days?
You don’t need to care about your number for data SIMs
