ITSPA Name the 2019 Best UK VoIP Provider Award Winners

The Internet Telephony Services Providers Association, which represents the United Kingdom’s Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) phone industry, has today unveiled the winners of this year’s 2019 ITSPA Awards event. The awards were presented across 12 categories at Glaziers Hall in central London.

Apparently entrants to all of the categories were independently reviewed by the ITSPA Awards judges (Matthew Townend, Stephanie Watson, Paul Billingham and Dr Lucy Green), while the ITSPA Hero Award was selected by the ITSPA Council and recognises an individual’s significant contribution to the telecoms sector.

Sadly this year’s event excluded the Best Consumer VoIP category, which is a good illustration of the fact that most VoIP providers still seem more geared toward catering for business users and right at the moment when more consumers will gradually be looking for VoIP alternatives to their land line phone. No doubt broadband ISPs will find a way to fill the gap if dedicated VoIP providers cannot.

Eli Katz, the Chair of ITSPA, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and the companies that were highly commended at the 2019 ITSPA Awards. The Awards continue to go from strength-to-strength and this year, in their 11th year, it is no different. The finalists represent the very best of our industry and the quality of the entries was particularly high.”
