New customers looking to join the UK broadband ISP division of John Lewis are being offered a “free” Google Nest Hub device alongside their “fibre broadband” (FTTC) packages, some of which have also had a further Black Friday discount to their monthly prices for the first 12 months of service.
As usual customers who order one of these broadband packages will receive a 12 month minimum contract term, email address, 24/7 UK based customer support, PC security from BullGuard, free UK evening and weekend phone calls, included line rental, unlimited usage and a wireless router.
We should point out that JL’s entry-level Unlimited Broadband and Phone bundle doesn’t get a free Google Nest Hub but new customers are being offered an included £40 e-gift card.

PRICE: £20 a month for 12 months (£26.50 thereafter)

Fibre Extra Broadband and Phone

One rather awkward caveat this year is that JL, which takes its service from Plusnet, are planning to match their parent network by increasing some of their prices from 3rd December 2019. Due to this the cost of line rental will rise by +£2 extra per month (£15.50 to £17.50) and call plans will go up by +£1 (Anytime £5 to £6, Anytime and International £7 to £8). This won’t impact the discount rates above, but it will result in higher post-contract prices.
