The latest UK ISP to join the early Black Friday 2019 sale fun is Virgin Media, which until 2nd December 2019 have heavily discounted the prices on some of their broadband bundles. For example, new customers can pick-up their 100Mbps broadband and phone package from just £25 per month for 12 months (£49 thereafter).
As usual new subscribers can expect to receive a Hub 3.0 wireless router (Hub 4.0 on 1Gig), a 12 month minimum contract term, unlimited usage, access to Virgin’s UK network of WiFi hotspots, internet security / parental controls and email. A £35 one-off setup fee must also be paid and their packages include a notice to say that your prices “will not increase during minimum period except for broadband only packages.”
In our experience the Black Friday period tends to be one of the cheapest points in the year for securing such deals. You can also find big discounts on their triple-play TV bundles – Bigger bundle and Ultimate Oomph bundle – as well as various other packages. However their standlone broadband plans remain at their normal levels.
I wish they were not so obsessed with trying to stuff a phone line, mobile sim, and/or TV down my throat!!
I also wish they would sell me M500 without all that crap but I guess I have to wait for DOCSIS 3.1 and 1G.
My mate brother got that M500 standalone for £75 a month with discreetly but no discount allow thought. Was locked into 24 months contract. He getting 527Mbps down and 37Mbps up.
You can get 500 via the business section on its own.
blackfriday still a thing 🙁
