London focused UK full fibre broadband ISP Community Fibre has hired Peter Rampling to be its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Dale Kirkwood as their Chief Information Officer (CIO). Both appointments are necessary in order to support the provider’s future network expansion and growth.
At present CF’s gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network already covers around 100,000 premises in London, which mostly consists of large apartment / social housing blocks and some business properties. However the provider aims to cover more than 500,000 premises with their 10Gbps capable broadband network by the end of 2022 (some of this will be built outside of London).
In keeping with that their new CCO, Peter Rampling, has been given the task of driving further customer growth and leading sales, marketing and customer service for the residential business. Peter was previously the CCO for Digicel in the Caribbean Region, CCO for Telefonica O2’s consumer business in Germany and as the CMO of O2 UK.
Meanwhile Dale Kirkwood will lead the growth of Community Fibre’s IT and information solutions. Dale previously worked as global director of IT for the sustainability consultancy, ERM Group. He was also the regional technology director for Flight Centre Travel Group and led the worldwide delivery of trackside IT for McClaren Racing.
Graeme Oxby, CEO of Community Fibre, added:
“We are very pleased to welcome Peter and Dale to Community Fibre. Their diverse and global experience in the IT and telecoms market will no doubt prove invaluable to the business, especially as we look to expand our full-fibre network in London and accelerate company growth.
From securing wayleaves to delivering an excellent customer experience this dynamic new leadership team will prove fundamental in taking the business to the next stage of growth.”
End.
