Customers of Virgin Mobile UK (Virgin Media) – specifically their Pay Monthly subscribers – are being given unlimited minutes to landlines and other mobile numbers, plus a 10GB data boost (Mobile Broadband), at no extra cost, for a month, in order to help them with the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation.
The extras were part of a new update issued by the operator (here), which explained some of the things they’re doing to both protect their employees and customers alike. The operator also said they were keeping an eye on their network in order to “make sure we can respond to extra traffic” and are “looking at ways we can help our customers if they find it difficult to pay their Virgin Media bill during this time,” but sadly no details were provided.
Virgin Media also warned customers that their staffing could be disrupted by the virus and that support centres were already “really busy … so it could take us a while to answer your call” (this is true for some other broadband ISPs and mobile operators too). Likewise if you have an engineer visit due then, much like other providers, they may have to delay by two weeks if “anyone living at the property has been asked to self-isolate or has flu-like symptoms.”

It always has taken “a while” for them to answer the phones in the last ten years. Now they have an excuse to hide behind their failings in the customer service department. Their delusion never fails to amaze me .
They gave my wife unlimited mins and 10GB “Goodwill data”
So they are doing what they said they would
It helps me with the current situation how??
I’m working from home so using WiFi instead of data.
Would’ve been more useful & beneficial to give me a month free of charge! So VM are giving away stuff that won’t actually be used, trying to look like they’re doing some “goodwill” but not actually helping anyone.
Ur actually so salty I mean at least ur getting that some people aren’t even getting that be grateful
Many thanks Virgin for the Goodwill data. Could you extend it for a further month please
I had 10gb last month and 10gb is now showing on my allowance but too scared to turn mobile data on as they charged me an extra £15 last month for having mobile data on even though it showed I had 10gb, rubbish company will be leaving in september
