Full fibre broadband ISP Hyperoptic has, for the fourth year in a row, made it into the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for 2020, which is a league table of Britain’s top 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest 3 years. Sadly no other internet service providers made this year’s ranking.
Last year’s table ranked Hyperoptic as 51st with 667 staff and an average 3-year sales growth of 86.60% (note: they were ranked 26th in 2018 and 17th the year before). By comparison, this year the provider has fallen to 66th and recorded a 3-year sales growth of 64.70% with a total of 1,179 staff.
In the 20 years of Tech Track 100, just 56 companies have appeared four times in the table, which equates to just 5% of 1,200 companies that have been featured overall.
Peter White, CFO of Hyperoptic, said:
“We are delighted to once again be recognised in the Tech Track 100, as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. We attribute this ongoing success to our commitment to going beyond the expected and to our continued investment in our people, products and customer service.”
The only other telecommunications related company in this year’s list is TelcoSwitch, which is ranked 25th overall and seems to focus on hosted telephony services for businesses (annual sales growth over 3 years of 109.77% and 28 staff).
