ITSPA Reveal the 2020 Best UK VoIP Provider Award Winners

The Internet Telephony Services Providers Association, which represents the United Kingdom’s Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) phone industry, has today unveiled the winners of their annual 2020 ITSPA Awards event. This year the awards were presented online, due to the current COVID-19 crisis.

Sadly, this year’s event continued the recent tradition of not having a Best Consumer VoIP category, which remains disappointing given the rising industry and consumer focus on domestic IP voice alternatives (necessary as older analogue PSTN / POTS telephone services are due to be phased out by 2025).

Otherwise the entrants to all categories were independently reviewed by the ITSPA Awards judges (Matthew Townend, Stephanie Watson, Ajay Shah and Dr Lucy Green). Additionally, the ITSPA Hero Award was selected by the ITSPA Council, recognising an individual’s significant contribution to the telecoms sector.

Eli Katz, Chair of ITSPA, said:

“Many congratulations to all the winners and the companies that were highly commended at this year’s ITSPA Awards. The ITSPA Awards have never been held in such difficult circumstances and, in this most challenging of years, I am delighted that the Awards have recognised some fantastic companies who have achieved great things in the past twelve months.

The whole industry can be proud of its contribution to wider society and the role it has played in keeping the country going throughout the pandemic. With the shift in working behaviours necessitated by the crisis, our industry has arguably come to the forefront of the nation’s attention, and it is clear that the next twelve months will be of great importance in the evolution of our industry.

ITSPA will continue to ensure our members’ voices are heard at this crucial time.”
