Mobile operator and ISP Vodafone have just added a bonus £75 shopping voucher, which can be redeemed on over 100 brands (from Amazon to Zalando, ASOS to Zizzi), for new customers who order one of their two bundles of “superfast” broadband (FTTC), anytime UK calls and Apple TV 4K (includes a 1 year Apple TV+ subscription).
The normal FTTC (VDSL2) based Superfast 1 (35Mbps) and Superfast 2 (63Mbps) packages usually cost £23 and £25 per month respectively over a 24-month minimum contract term, although existing Pay Monthly Vodafone Mobile customers can knock another £2 off those. For that you also get unlimited usage, copper line rental and a bundled wireless router.
However, the Apple TV and anytime UK calls (landline and mobile) bundles increase the monthly price of Superfast 1 for new customers to £31 and £33 for Superfast 2 (once again existing mobile customers can knock £2 off those), plus these now come with the new £75 bonus shopping voucher until 8th November 2020.
Sadly, the voucher does not extend to their FTTP based Gigafast Broadband packages. A new line provision charge of £60 may also apply if you don’t currently have a copper Openreach line at your address.
Don’t do it people! Vodafone broadband service is bloody awful. Vodafone customer service also useless
Not entirely true anymore. The Gigafast FTTP side is brilliant, and has a dedicated UK based customer service team which are excellent (personal experience). So to blanketly say their broadband is awful and customer service is useless is a misnomer (though may still apply to the VDSL side of things).
If you’re forking out £60 a month for gigabit, I’d expect it to be good.
I have Vodafone Gigafast and it’s nowhere near £60 per month. Symmetrical gigabit is £43 per month. And prices start from £25 per month for 100mb symmetrical. Which is pretty good value for money when you compare it with many of the FTTC deals offered by other providers.
You don’t get voucher I never got mine rip of I leaving them soon as contract up
My Vodafone FTTC service has a sync speed of 80.0 Mbps and online speed checkers almost always show a download speed over 70. I had a problem with the line a couple of weeks ago but I got a discount on my bill until Openreach fixed it. Can’t fault Vodafone at all.
