London-focused broadband ISP CommunityFibre will today launch a new promotion that doubles the service speeds for new customers of their 150Mbps and 400Mbps plans, which means that for the first 24 months of service subscribers to those tiers will instead receive 300Mbps and 800Mbps respectively at no extra cost.
At present the provider covers around 100,000 premises in London with their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network and they’re working to cover 1 million homes and businesses by the end of 2023, which is being supported by around £500m of private investment. The vast majority of this has been focused upon the London area and large residential apartment buildings (MDUs) or office blocks.
Customers typically pay from £20 per month for their entry-level 50Mbps plan for 24 months (£25 thereafter), then £25 for 150Mbps (£29.50 thereafter), £35 for 400Mbps (£40 thereafter) and this goes up to £49 for their top 920Mbps “Gigafast” package (£54 thereafter).

However, under the new promotion new customers will be able to get double the speed on their 150Mbps and 400Mbps tiers for the first 24 months of service, before it drops back down to normal. Apparently, this will be available to order until 23:59 BST on the 12th November 2020. At the time of writing this offer hadn’t yet been uploaded to their website but we expect it to surface later this morning.

“150Mbps and 400Mbps plans”?
They’re a full fibre altnet and roll out XGS-PON at 10 gigabit and nothing to do with Openreach.
Consumers can choose 50meg/£20, 150meg (now 300)/£25, 400meg (now 800)/£35 and 1gbps/£49 plans. Also that’s symmetric, so it’s the same speed up and down, the only way broadband should be.
