Property developer Persimmon Homes has announced that their sibling ISP FibreNest, which caters for many of the new homes they build via a Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network (around 10,000 connections so far), has signed a deal with business telecoms provider Gamma to improve their voice services.
The press release states that this deal allows FibreNest to sell Gamma’s voice products as either a landline replacement, home working or business line. At the time of writing FibreNest already offers a standalone voice (VoIP) service with pay-as-you-go style calls from £9.99 per month (plus a £60 one-off setup charge), which becomes £4.99 per month (free setup) if you bundle it with a broadband package.
We assume the aforementioned service will be enhanced by the new deal with Gamma, although at the time of writing it remains unclear precisely what the new options will look like. “With the explosion in home working and the rollout of full-fibre accelerating in the UK, we are thrilled to be working with the UK’s leading housebuilder on this revolutionary proposition and project,” said Gamma’s Infrastructure Head, Mike Mills.

Sales not infrastructure…
Interesting though if Gamma are starting to expand into the residential market
